I love the way it turned out. I already made an appointment for color with her. Would definitely recommend. Amazing. I booked a last minute appointment 2 days before my wedding for a blowout and some curls/waves. I basically told my stylist I wanted to blow out + style my hair now and not wash it before the wedding so in two days time it would be styled again for my wedding. She asked a bunch of questions to help make a plan and was very sensitive and considerate, making sure I was getting what I wanted and assuring me that we could fix it if it wasn\'t right. There was nothing to fix, she crushed it, my hair looked great for two days and styled well on the 3rd day. My appointment was in the afternoon and I wanted my hair wavy for that evening, so she did curls and had me leave them tight/unbrushed with instructions to run my fingers through them right before I was ready to go out (and again, she made sure to ask if I was okay with that plan, I was like f yeah make this styling last). Plan worked great. She even gave me a little sample of some hair oil to help if I had flyaways pop up or needed/wanted to add more shine that night or the next day. *Pic is from the second day, hair still looking amazing, forgot to take actual selfies lol

Nelly made me feel so comfortable, explaining everything before, during and after my appointment. All staff at Bibo are attentive to the needs of clients and help out one another, no questions asked. G’neva at the front desk is very kind and professional, which elevates the entire experience. Skylar did my cut and color and even though we had never worked together before, she did a fabulous job. I have fine, longer (past shoulders) slightly wavy blonde hair and she added highlights and did a cut to my shoulders and I’m super happy with it. The services are expensive, but well worth it for a great cut and maintenance instructions/products talked about. 12/10 recommend and I will definitely be coming back!!

Georgina cut my hair and did a wonderful job! She gave me layers, face framing, added movement and dimension, and took lots of time to make the cut detailed and personalized. I was unsure of what to get and she walked me through my options and was so kind and understanding even when I changed my mind last minute and decided I wanted to add face framing. She also worked magic to fix the choppy cut that my previous stylist had given me (at a different salon) and thinned out my bulky ends. For reference, I have long, thin Asian hair. I would recommend her and this salon to anyone.

(Since I have thick hair) As an added bonus, she offered me samples of oil, shampoo and conditioner. She’s such a sweetheart! I recommended her to my sister who’ll be visiting Oakland in august. And I’m definitely coming back to her when I decide to chop my hair off!

She never did anything without asking or instructing first. It\'s not something I look for but it was very much appreciated. Was lucky enough to get a booking with Lucky as my new hairstylist! We covered a lot of tough ground — a not so great cut and color — and got to a better place fast! Lucky completely restructured my hairstyle, bringing weight to some places and light texture to others, all resulting in a beautiful and modern bob with bangs that absolutely slaps! It is perfect for my upcoming vacation and I couldn’t be happier!

Kate just gave me the best blowout of my life…..and I am a hairdresser. Come to find out that she has extensive styling experience both editorial and at a blow dry bar. Best color and cut I’ve had in 10+ years. Cannot recommend Angel and BIBO Salon highly enough! Angel listens, asks questions, confirms she’s fully understanding what you’re looking for and checks in along the way. I have naturally wavy-to-curly hair and Angel took my curl pattern and styling habits into consideration when developing a plan for my color and cut. This could sound like an obvious approach but I’ve found it so hard to find. Angel is a balayage/color magician!

It’s so clean, the ladies are so hospitable. This is my second time and for sure will come back. Big thanks to Angel, I was so nervous my first time to cut my hair and she did such an amazing job and was patient with me and understood the assignment. 😁

The mycurl is great but I did want to share it feels unfair it is so much more expensive. I understand the stylists need additional training for it, but since woman of color tend to have curlier hair, it feels like a form of discrimination. It would be more fair for regular hair cuts to be more expensive to distribute the training cost amongst all clients.

LUCKY IS AMAZING!!! So so so so so so so happy with my color and trim. I wanted a silvery white and she NAILED IT!!! Wow! What can I say after having the best hair cut ever since I have been in the states. That’s for over twenty years. Sky apart from being savvy in so many ways uses the CalligraphyTechnique established in Germany over twenty years ago where the hair is cut at an an angle of 21-23 degrees and in layers would you believe. You should see what it did to my thin hair. Unbelievable! It imparts style, movement and class and you will not be disappointed. Certainly it is pricey, but you need not go as often as your cut grows seamlessly into these fabulous cuts. I am very, very particular and highly recommend SKY.

Good haircut. Stylist did a good job communicating what I wanted. I was happy with the way it looked. I do not like how they add 20% tip onto bill automatically. I think that should be up to the customer to do on their own.

Great service all around: I loved how thoughtful Julie was in her haircut process based on my hair type and how she provided a step by step run through of what she will be doing next. Kate at the front desk was also considerate in offering a freed up time slot alternative slots in case I preferred that over the one I have.

It’s often cold in the salon and hot water is sometimes hard to find or is in and out. Not fun to have your hair washed with cool water. Brrr!
